A dealer must not:
(a) publish an advertisement that specifies the reading on the odometer of a motor vehicle, or
(b) during negotiations for the sale of a motor vehicle, specify the reading on the odometer of the vehicle,if the dealer knows, or has reasonable cause to know, that the reading on the odometer is a false representation of the distance travelled by the vehicle.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
