BURIAL AND CREMATION ACT 2022 (NO 16 OF 2022) - SECT 16

    (1)     Subject to section 17 , the Minister may, by Gazette notice, declare an area of land to be a cemetery.

    (2)     The notice must classify the cemetery as one of the following classes of cemetery:

    (a)     a public cemetery;

    (b)     a community cemetery;

    (c)     a local cemetery;

    (d)     an independent cemetery.

    (3)     The notice must specify the following details:

    (a)     the name of the cemetery;

    (b)     the responsible entity for the cemetery;

    (c)     the location of the cemetery.
