51     Modification of section 3 (Interpretation)

(1)     Section 3(1), definitions custodial correctional facility , hospital and probation and parole officer

omit

(2)     Section 3(1)

insert (in alphabetical order)

"custodial correctional facility" means:

    (a)     a custodial correctional facility as defined in section 11(1)(a) of the Correctional Services Act ; or

    (b)     a prison in another participating jurisdiction under its cross-border laws.

"hospital" means:

    (a)     a hospital as defined in section 5 of the Medical Services Act ; or

    (b)     an incorporated hospital as defined in section 3(1) of the Health Care Act 2008 (SA); or

    (c)     a public hospital as defined in section 2(1) of the Hospitals and Health Services Act 1927 (WA).

"probation and parole officer" means:

    (a)     a probation and parole officer as defined in section 4 of the Correctional Services Act ; or

    (b)     a community corrections officer of another participating jurisdiction.
