TOBACCO CONTROL LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 2014 (NO 40 OF 2014) - SECT 9

Section 10(1)

    (1)     The occupier of premises commits an offence if:

    (a)     a person smokes in an area of the premises; and

    (b)     the area is a smoke-free area.

Maximum penalty:     20 penalty units.

    (1A)     Strict liability applies to subsection (1)(a).
