Northern Territory Numbered Acts Northern Territory Numbered Acts(1) The superintendent of a detention centre or the officer in charge of a prison (as the case may be) may refuse to admit a detainee to the centre or prison if he or she believes on reasonable grounds that the detainee is unfit to serve a period of detention because the detainee's behaviour is unruly or is otherwise a threat to the good order or security of the centre.
(2) A detainee refused admission under subsection (1) is taken to have failed to report for detention.
