Northern Territory Numbered Acts Northern Territory Numbered Acts(1) A person must not hinder, obstruct, assault or threaten with violence any of the following in the exercise of their powers or performance of their functions or duties under this Act:
(a) a superintendent or member of the staff of a detention centre;
(b) a police officer;
(c) a probation officer;
(d) a surveillance officer.
Penalty: 400 penalty units or imprisonment for 2 years.
(2) A person must not aid or abet another person in the commission of an offence against subsection (1).
Penalty: 400 penalty units or imprisonment for 2 years.
