Principal agent must keep particular books, accounts and records
3 Principal agent must keep particular books, accounts and records
(1) A principal agent must keep the following books, accounts and records—
(a) a register of trust account receipt forms;
(b) consecutively numbered
trust account receipt forms in duplicate;
(c) trust account deposit forms in
duplicate;
(d) a trust account cash book;
(e) a trust account ledger;
(f) a
trust account journal with journal pages or entries consecutively numbered;
(g) full and accurate accounts of amounts paid or received for a sale or
transaction.
Penalty— Maximum penalty—10 penalty units.
(2) The
books, accounts and records mentioned in subsection (1) must be kept in a way
that can be properly audited. Penalty— Maximum penalty—10 penalty
units.
