NATURE CONSERVATION (PROTECTED AREAS MANAGEMENT) REGULATION 2017 - REG 123

123 Safe use of vehicles by reference to transport legislation

(1) If a person, while in a protected area, does an act or makes an omission that, if done or made on a road, would contravene any of the following provisions of the Queensland Road Rules , the person commits an offence against this subsection—

(a) section 256 (1) ;

(b) section 264 ;

(c) section 264A ;

(d) section 265 ;

(e) section 268 ;

(f) section 270 ;

(g) section 271 (4) or (5) .

Penalty—

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.

(2) If a person, while in a protected area, does an act or makes an omission that, if done or made on a road, would contravene either of the following provisions of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 , the person commits an offence against this subsection—

(a) section 83 (1) , in the circumstances mentioned in paragraph (c) of the penalty for that section;

(b) section 84 .

Penalty—

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
