NATURE CONSERVATION (PROTECTED AREAS MANAGEMENT) REGULATION 2024 - REG 159
Authority must be available for inspection
159 Authority must be available for inspection
(1) A person carrying out an activity under a protected area authority, other
than a camping permit or stock grazing permit— (a) must have the following
documents available for inspection— (i) if the person is the holder of the
authority—the authority or a copy of the authority;
(ii) if the person is
not the holder of the authority—a copy of the authority endorsed by the
holder of the authority with the name and residential address of the person
carrying out the activity; and
(b) if asked by a conservation officer, must
produce the authority or copy for inspection by the officer, unless the person
has a reasonable excuse.
Penalty— Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
(2) For this section, a copy of the relevant details of a commercial activity
permit is taken to be a copy of the permit.
(3) In this section—
"relevant details" , of a commercial activity permit, means details of each of
the following matters— (a) if the permit number for the permit is stated in
the permit—the permit number;
(b) the name of the holder of the permit;
(c) the term of the permit;
(d) the protected area to which the permit
applies;
(e) the activity authorised under the permit.
