NATURE CONSERVATION (PROTECTED AREAS MANAGEMENT) REGULATION 2024 - REG 199
Unlawfully entering restricted access area
199 Unlawfully entering restricted access area
(1) A person must not enter or remain in a restricted access area unless the
person— (a) enters or remains in the area in a way permitted by the
restricted access area notice for the area; or
(b) enters or remains in the
area under a restricted access area permit authorising the entry; or
(c)
enters or remains in the area under a prescribed authority specifically
stating the entry to or the remaining in the area is authorised; or
(d)
enters or remains in the area under the written approval of the chief
executive; or
(e) otherwise—has a reasonable excuse.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—120 penalty units.
(2) In this section—
"prescribed authority" means— (a) a resources permit; or
(b) an apiary
permit; or
(c) a stock grazing permit; or
(d) a stock mustering permit; or
(e) a permit to enter a national park (scientific); or
(f) a commercial
activity permit; or
(g) an organised event permit; or
(h) a commercial
activity agreement.
