Amending or cancelling registrations
268 Amending or cancelling registrations
(1) The Minister, after considering any representations from the owner of
registered premises, may decide to— (a) amend the conditions of the
registration; or
(b) cancel the registration if— (i) the levels of
emissions from the premises no longer comply with section 267(7)(a); or
(ii)
a condition of the registration is contravened.
(2) The Minister must give a
decision notice to the owner.
(3) If the Minister decides to amend or cancel
a registration, the amendment or cancellation starts to have effect on— (a)
the day the notice is given to the owner; or
(b) a later day stated in the
notice.
(4) The owner of registered premises may, by notice given to the
Minister, cancel the registration.
(5) The registration ends on— (a) the
day the Minister receives the owner’s notice; or
(b) a later day stated in
the owner’s notice.
