(1) This section applies to—(a) a driver’s certificate in effect immediately before the commencement; or(b) a driver’s certificate that has been suspended under the repealed Act if the period of the suspension had not ended before the commencement.
(2) From the commencement—(a) the driver’s certificate is taken to be a driver accreditation; and(b) a document given under the repealed Act evidencing the driver’s certificate is taken to be the accreditation document for the driver accreditation.
(3) The driver accreditation—(a) has effect for the remaining term of the driver’s certificate; and(b) is subject to any condition, imposed on the driver’s certificate under the repealed Act, section 14A(1)(b), that applied to the driver’s certificate immediately before the commencement, even if the condition could not be imposed under this Act.
(4) Subsection (3)(b) applies subject to section 174.
(5) If the driver’s certificate has been suspended under the repealed Act, the driver accreditation is taken to be suspended until the end of the period of the suspension of the driver’s certificate.
