31—Central assessment unit may seek external advice
(1) Despite any other
Act or law, the central assessment unit may, in relation to any decision or
determination under this Act, seek such medical, legal or other professional
advice as it thinks necessary or appropriate to make the decision or
determination.
(2) Without limiting
the generality of subsection (1), the regulations may provide for the
establishment of an advisory panel to advise or assist the
central assessment unit in the performance of its functions under this Act.
