MAGISTRATES ACT 1983 - SECT 22

22—Certain members of the judiciary may assume magisterial powers

Any of the following persons, namely—

            (a)         a Judge of the Supreme Court; or

            (b)         an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court; or

            (c)         a District Court Judge,

may exercise the jurisdiction, powers or functions of a magistrate.
