ASSOCIATIONS INCORPORATION AMENDMENT BILL 51 OF 2011

                  CLAUSE NOTES

  Associations Incorporation Amendment Act 2011

Clause 1   Short Title
           The Act is referred to as the Associations
           Incorporation Amendment Act 2011

Clause 2   Commencement
           The Act commences on a day or days to be
           proclaimed.

Clause 3   Principal Act
           The Associations Incorporation Act 1964 is
           the Principal Act.

Clause 4   Section 25B amended (Effect of transfer of
           incorporation)
           Amends section 25B of the Principal Act to
           ensure that when a company is incorporated
           as an association (under 25A) the continuity
           of the company's legal identity after transfer
           from the Corporations Act is preserved along
           with any rights and claims against that
           association.
