DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS AMENDMENT BILL 2013 BILL 55 OF 2013

                    CLAUSE NOTES

    Director of Public Prosecutions Amendment Bill 2013

Clause 1:      Short Title

Clause 2:      Commencement on Royal Assent

Clause 3:      Identifies the Principal Act

Clause 4:      Omits subsection (3) and (4) of section 12
               thereby removing the requirement that the
               Solicitor-General perform the functions of the
               Director of Public Prosecutions in the event of
               the illness or absence of the Director of Public
               Prosecutions.
Clause 5:      Repeals the amending Act 365 days from
               commencement.
