FACT SHEET Criminal Code Amendment (Sexual Assault) Bill 2017 The Criminal Code Amendment (Sexual Assault) Bill 2017 makes amendments to the Criminal Code Act 1924. The Bill amends the Criminal Code Act 1924 by: amending the definition of ‘sexual intercourse’; removing the crime of aggravated sexual assault (section 127A); and amending the crime of bestiality (section 122). The Bill also makes a number of consequential amendments to the Criminal Code Act 1924 resulting from the introduction of a new definition of ‘sexual intercourse’ and the removal of the crime of aggravated sexual assault.
