       CHARTER OF BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY AMENDMENT BILL 2011




�   The Charter of Budget Responsibility Amendment Bill 2011 will be introduced into
    Parliament on 30 August 2011.

�   The Bill provides for amendments to minor definitional issues identified in the
    Charter of Budget Responsibility Act 2007. The issues were associated with the
    term `caretaker period' and the definition of `days'.

�   The Bill amends the definition of `caretaker period', includes a definition for a
    `day', `non-business day' and `polling day', and replaces references to the `issue
    of a writ for an election for the House of Assembly' with `commencement of the
    caretaker period'.
