(1) A person must not give the Director of Public Health or an authorised officer a document containing information that the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 500 penalty units.(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a person who, when giving the document to the Director of Public Health or authorised officer (a) tells the Director of Public Health or authorised officer, to the best of the person's ability, how the document is false or misleading; and(b) gives the correct information to the authorised officer if the person has, or can reasonably obtain, the correct information.(3) It is enough for a complaint against a person for an offence against subsection (1) to state that the document is, to the person's knowledge, false or misleading in a material particular without specifying whether the document is false or whether it is misleading.
