Section 33A of the Principal Act is repealed and the following section is substituted:33A. Employer given notice of injury must inform worker of right to claim
(1) An employer who is informed by a worker of an injury to the worker must, within 14 days, inform the worker, in the prescribed form, that the worker may have a right to make a claim for compensation in relation to the injury.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 10 penalty units.(2) Subsection (1) does not apply in relation to an injury if the employer is informed of the injury by the service on the employer of a claim for compensation.
