(1)  An order under section 23(1)(a) of the Principal Act –

(a) is taken to be an order under section 47(1)(c) of the Youth Justice Act 1997 dismissing the charge and requiring the child to enter into an undertaking to be of good behaviour; and

(b) has effect until the first of the following occurs:

(i) the term of the order expires;

(ii) the period of 6 months commencing on the commencement day expires.

(2)  A recognisance entered into under an order made under section 23(1)(a) of the Principal Act is taken to be an undertaking to be of good behaviour entered into under an order made under section 47(1)(c) of the Youth Justice Act 1997 .
