After regulation 20A of the Principal Regulations , the following Part is inserted:

20B.     Circumstances where interim SPPs amendments may be made

For the purposes of section 30NB(4)(a) of the Act, the implementation or operation of a container refund scheme, as established under section 10 of the Container Refund Scheme Act 2022 , is a prescribed circumstance.

These regulations amend the Land Use Planning and Approvals Regulations 2014 by specifying that the implementation, or operation, of a container refund scheme is a circumstance where an interim SPPs amendment may be made by the Minister.
