EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the rule)

These Rules of Court amend the Magistrates Court (Civil Division) Rules 1998  –

(a) in relation to –

(i) the registry in which an action is to proceed; and

(ii) the service of documents; and

(iii) conciliation conferences; and

(iv) the giving of evidence by audio or audio visual link; and

(v) attachment orders; and

(vi) assessments of costs; and

(b) by increasing certain costs.
