(1) An application for an electrical practitioner's licence is made in accordance with section 36 of the Act.(2) An application for the renewal of an electrical practitioner's licence is to be made to the Administrator in an approved form and is to be accompanied by the prescribed fee in respect of the application.(3) If an application for the renewal of an electrical practitioner's licence is lodged within 2 months after the expiry of the licence, the application fee is increased as specified in Schedule 1 .(4) An application for renewal of an electrical practitioner's licence is to be lodged with the Administrator at least one month before the expiry of the licence.(5) Subregulation (4) does not prevent the Administrator from considering and determining an application that is lodged out of time in accordance with subregulation (6) .(6) If an application for the renewal of an electrical practitioner's licence is lodged within 2 months after the expiry of the term of the licence, the Administrator may, if he or she considers that there are special reasons for doing so and on payment of the prescribed fee, renew the licence as from the date of that expiry.(7) An applicant for the issue or renewal of an electrical practitioner's licence must satisfy the Administrator that he or she has acquired and maintained the skills required for the work to be authorised by the licence.(8) This regulation does not apply to a person who is entitled to a transitional licence.
