Rule 971 of the Principal Rules is amended by omitting " Part VIII of the Evidence Act 1910 " from the definition of Evidence Act and substituting " Part 2 of the Evidence on Commission Act 2001 " .

These Rules of Court amend the Supreme Court Rules 2000 by –

(a) amending the rules relating to hearsay; and

(b) inserting a rule to allow reserved costs to follow the event; and

(c) inserting rules relating to service outside Australia; and

(d) replacing the rules relating to subpoenas; and

(e) updating various legislative references; and

(f) making minor statute law revision.
