SUPREME COURT RULES 2000 (S.R. 2000, NO. 8) - REG 128

Address for service
(1)  If a plaintiff or an applicant is suing by practitioner, the address of the practitioner is the address for service of that plaintiff or applicant.
(2)  If a plaintiff or applicant is suing in person the address for service of the plaintiff or applicant must be within 10 kilometres of a registry of the Court.
(3)  If a defendant or respondent appears by practitioner, the address of the practitioner is the address for service of that defendant or respondent.
(4)  If a defendant or respondent appears in person, the defendant or respondent must provide an address for service which is within 10 kilometres of the registry in which the proceeding is pending.
(5)  Notwithstanding subrule (2) or (4) , an address for service specified in accordance with section 18(1) of the Service and Execution of Process Act 1992 of the Commonwealth is a sufficient address for service.
