SUPREME COURT RULES 2000 (S.R. 2000, NO. 8) - REG 200
Judgment for balance
If a counterclaim is established as a defence against the plaintiff's claim
and the balance is in favour of the defendant, the Court or a judge
may (a) give judgment for the plaintiff on the claim and the costs
of the claim, and for the defendant on the counterclaim and the costs of the
counterclaim; or
(b) give judgment for the defendant for the balance and
costs; or
(c) otherwise adjudge to the parties any relief as they may be
entitled to on the merits of the case.
