SUPREME COURT RULES 2000 (S.R. 2000, NO. 8) - REG 516

Service of statement of expert evidence
(1)  A party intending at trial to adduce the oral evidence of a person as an expert witness is to serve on every other party a statement setting out –
(a) the name and address of the witness; and
(b) a description of the qualifications of the witness to give evidence as an expert; and
(c) the substance of the evidence that it is proposed to adduce from the witness as an expert.
(2)  The statement is to be served –
(a) at any time before the trial fixed by order of a judge at the pretrial conference or otherwise; or
(b) if no time is fixed, within a reasonable time before the commencement of the trial.
