(1) A party intending at trial to adduce the oral evidence of a person as an expert witness is to serve on every other party a statement setting out (a) the name and address of the witness; and(b) a description of the qualifications of the witness to give evidence as an expert; and(c) the substance of the evidence that it is proposed to adduce from the witness as an expert.(2) The statement is to be served (a) at any time before the trial fixed by order of a judge at the pretrial conference or otherwise; or(b) if no time is fixed, within a reasonable time before the commencement of the trial.
