(1) At any stage in a proceeding a judge, with or without the consent of any party, may order that the proceeding or any part of it be referred for mediation.(2) If a matter is referred to mediation, the mediator is to be (a) the Principal Registrar; or(b) a suitable person appointed by the Principal Registrar.(3) Unless otherwise ordered, an order under subrule (1) does not operate as a stay of proceedings.
