SUPREME COURT RULES 2000 (S.R. 2000, NO. 8) - REG 827
Half-fees
If an action in which the only claim or claims endorsed on the
writ – (a) is or are for the recovery of – (i) a sum of
money, whether by way of debt, liquidated demand or unliquidated damages; or
(ii) land; or
(iii) a chattel; or
(iv) any 2 or more of the claims set out in
subparagraphs (i) , (ii) and (iii) ; and
(b) involves a total sum of
money and value of property that does not exceed $20 000 –
any
fees and percentages payable in respect of the action are to be reduced to
one-half of those specified in Schedule 2 .
