Part 1 of Schedule 6 to the Principal Rules is amended as follows:(a) by omitting clause 8 and substituting the following clause:8. Rule 288: Driving on a pathFor rule 288 , a driver is permitted to drive on a path if (a) the driver's vehicle is being used in connection with works being carried out by a Road Authority; and(b) in the circumstances it is not practicable to comply with the rule; and(c) the driver takes reasonable care and does not exceed 10 kilometres per hour.(b) by inserting the following clause after clause 9 :10. Rule 313: Exemption for postal vehiclesFor rule 313 , none of the provisions mentioned in subrule (2) of the rule apply to the driver of a postal vehicle.
