The long title for the Bill for this Act was "to amend the Commonwealth Games Arrangements Act 2001 to provide for miscellaneous matters, including the management and regulation of areas being used for the Commonwealth Games and associated events, to exempt Commonwealth Games venues, facilities and other areas from various laws to facilitate the efficient delivery of the Games, to make various other amendments necessary for the effective conduct of the Commonwealth Games and associated events or the effective operation of that Act and for other purposes."
