After section 9(2) of the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984 insert —

    "(3)     A failure to comply with sub-section (1) in a calendar year (whether the calendar year 2006 or any earlier or later calendar year) does not affect the validity, operation or effect of an Act passed in that year.".
