LOCAL GOVERNMENT (ELECTORAL) REGULATIONS 2005 (SR NO 98 OF 2005) - REG 31

Provision of how-to-vote cards

    (1)     As soon as practicable after registering a how-to-vote card or receiving a copy of a registered how-to-vote card, the returning officer must—

        (a)     make a copy of the card available for inspection     at the returning officer's office and     at each voting centre in the municipal district; and

        (b)     on a web site maintained by or on behalf of the returning officer that is not the web site of the Council, publish a list of the names of candidates for whom how-to-vote cards have been registered.

    (2)     If a how-to-vote card is registered under regulation 29, the person who submitted the card for registration must immediately provide the returning officer with 5 more cards than the number of election day voting centres in the district or ward where the card is to be distributed.
