OFFSHORE PETROLEUM AND GREENHOUSE GAS STORAGE REGULATIONS 2011 (SR NO 153 OF 2011) - REG 68

Safety case to be submitted to Safety Authority

    (1)     If an operator wants to have a safety case accepted for a facility, he or she must submit the safety case to the Safety Authority.

    (2)     The safety case may relate to one or more stages in the life of the facility.

    (3)     The safety case may relate to more than one facility.

    (4)     The operator must not submit the safety case before the operator and the Safety Authority have agreed on the scope of the validation for the facility.

    (5)     The Safety Authority may at any time inform the operator that it will not assess the safety case for the proposed facility unless the operator and the Safety Authority have agreed on the scope of the validation for the proposed facility.
