	1.	Objective

     The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe various fees for the purposes of the Gaming Machine Control Act 1991.

     These Regulations are made under section 159 of the Gaming Machine Control Act 1991.

	5.	Definition

     In these Regulations, "the Act" means the Gaming Machine Control Act 1991.

     Under section 12B(2) of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for an approval of premises is $3720.

     Under section 12J(2) of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for a new approval of premises is $195.

     Under section 19(2) of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for a venue operator's licence is $1100.

     Under section 26A(2) of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for a new venue operator's licence is $1100.

	10.	Fee-application for amendment of venue operator's licence

     Under section 27(2A) of the Act, the fee for an application for amendment of a venue operator's licence is-

			(a)	in the case of an amendment under section 27(1)(a) of the Act, being the addition of an approved venue, $210;

			(b)	in the case of an amendment under section 27(1)(b) of the Act-

	(i)	being an increase in the number of gaming machines permitted in an approved venue, $2085;
	(ii)	being a decrease in the number of gaming machines permitted in an approved venue, $150;

			(c)	in the case of an amendment under section 27(1)(c) of the Act, being a variation of the gaming machine areas approved for an approved venue, $225;

			(d)	in the case of an amendment under section 27(1)(d) of the Act, being a variation of the days or dates on which 24 hour gaming is permitted in an approved venue, $2293.50;

			(e)	in the case of an amendment under section 27(1A) of the Act, being the addition of a condition specifying days or dates on which 24 hour gaming is permitted in an approved venue when none currently takes place, $2293.50.

	11.	Fee-application for grant of special employee's or technician's licence

     
		(1)	Under section 41(1)(a) of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for grant of a special employee's licence is $65.

		(2)	Under sections 41(1)(a) and 59 of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for grant of a technician's licence is $65.

	12.	Fee-application for renewal of special employee's or technician's licence

     
		(1)	Under section 50(2) of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for a new special employee's licence is $30.

		(2)	Under sections 50(2) and 59 of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for a new technician's licence is $30.

     Under section 63(2) of the Act, the fee to accompany an application for listing on the Roll of Suppliers is $3600.

	14.	Fee-evaluation of a gaming machine type or game

     Under section 69(1) of the Act, the fee for evaluation of a gaming machine type or game is $198.

1. General Information
The Gaming Machine Control (Fees) Regulations 2002, S.R. No. 23/2002 were made on 9 April 2002 by the Lieutenant-Governor as the Governors Deputy with the advice of the Executive Council under section 159 of the Gaming Machine Control Act 1991, No. 53/1991 and came into operation on 13 April 2002: regulation 3.
The Gaming Machine Control (Fees) Regulations 2002 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 9 April 2012 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).

There are no amendments made to the Gaming Machine Control (Fees) Regulations 2002 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
