(1) A police officer
of the Northern Territory may make an NT police order in the State if the
person against whom the order is sought or proposed to be made has a
connection with a cross-border region.
(2) The law of the
State does not apply in relation to the making of the order.

For the purpose of deciding whether or not the
person against whom the NT police order is sought or proposed to be made has a
connection with a cross-border region, section 22 and Part 2
Division 4 apply.
