(1) The Governor may
make regulations for or with respect to any matter that by this Act is
required or permitted to be prescribed, or that is necessary or convenient to
be prescribed, for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.
(2) Without limiting
subsection (1), regulations may be made —
(a) as
to the provision of information by a person to the Director of Energy Safety
for the purpose of ascertaining whether the person is an energy industry
participant, or is an energy industry participant who is liable to pay a levy;
(b) as
to the procedure for assessing and collecting a levy; and
(c)
prescribing a penalty not exceeding $10 000 for an offence against the
regulations.
