(1) The
Complaints Committee consists of the following members —
(a) a
chairperson, and not less than 6 other legal practitioners, appointed by the
Board from amongst its members from time to time;
(b) not
less than 2 representatives of the community, none of whom is to be a person
who is or has been a legal practitioner.
(2) The Attorney
General is to appoint the members as representatives of the community after
consultation with the Minister responsible for consumer affairs.
(3) The number of
persons to be appointed to the Complaints Committee as representatives of the
community must not exceed one quarter of the total membership of the
Complaints Committee for the time being.
