POLICE LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 2024 (NO. 33 OF 2024) - SECT 11

11 .         Section 3 amended

        (1)         In section 3 insert in alphabetical order:

        child means a person who is under 18 years of age;

        edged weapon has the meaning given in section 3A;

        (2)         In section 3 in the definition of controlled weapon paragraph (b) delete “firearm or a prohibited weapon,” and insert:

                firearm, a prohibited weapon or an edged weapon,

        (3)         In section 3 in the definition of weapon after “prohibited weapon,” insert:

                an edged weapon,
