(1) WorkCover WA must
issue guidelines (the Permanent Impairment Guidelines ) that make provision
for or with respect to the evaluation of a worker’s degree of permanent
impairment.
(2) The Permanent
Impairment Guidelines may adopt the provisions of other publications, whether
with or without modification or addition and whether in force at a particular
time or from time to time.
(3) WorkCover WA is
not required to use the title “Permanent Impairment Guidelines”
for the guidelines and may issue the Permanent Impairment Guidelines under a
different title.
(4) The
Interpretation Act 1984 sections 41, 42, 43 and 44 apply to the
Permanent Impairment Guidelines as if they were regulations.
