(1) In this
section —
acquire includes taking on lease or licence or in
any other manner in which an interest in property may be acquired;
dispose of includes disposing of by way of lease
or licence or in any other manner in which an interest in property may be
disposed of.
(2) WorkCover WA has
all the powers it needs to perform its functions.
(3) WorkCover WA may,
for the purposes of performing any of its functions —
(a)
determine and charge fees for the provision of any services related to the
performance of its functions; and
(b)
effect contracts of insurance providing indemnity against liability to make
payments out of moneys standing to the credit of the General Account or the
DI Fund; and
(c)
acquire, dispose of or otherwise deal in real or personal property; and
(d)
alter, improve, maintain, manage or develop real or personal property; and
(e)
enter into any contract or arrangement, including a contract or arrangement
for the provision of services to WorkCover WA.
(4)
Subsection (3) does not limit subsection (2) or any of WorkCover
WA’s other powers.
