(1) A person must not
disclose information about a worker’s claim for compensation to another
person for the purpose of providing information to that person about the
worker’s suitability for employment with a prospective employer.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of
$10 000.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not apply if the information is disclosed in relation
to a return to work program or for the purpose of providing information about
the worker in relation to the obligation under section 166(2)(b).
(3) A person cannot,
for the purpose of selection for employment, be required to disclose
information about any claim for compensation by the person.
