worker occurred before 1 July 2018 —
(a)
Part 2 Division 10 does not apply in respect of the death of the
worker; and
(b) the
former provisions, as defined in clause 9 of Schedule 8 to the
former Act, apply in respect of the death as if those provisions were still in
force; and
(c) the
child’s allowance that a person is entitled to receive under the former
provisions as applied by paragraph (b) is the eligible dependent child
allowance under section 134 of this Act.

1 July 2018
is the day on which the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management
Amendment Act 2018 section 6 came into operation.
