(1) The amount of
permanent impairment compensation payable is the amount calculated under
section 101 on the basis of the worker’s degree of permanent
impairment resulting from the injury.
(2) The worker’s
degree of permanent impairment resulting from an injury is —
(a) in
the case of impairment of a part or faculty of the body, the degree of
permanent impairment of that part or faculty of the body; or
(b) in
the case of impairment from scarring or disfigurement, the degree of
permanent whole of person impairment resulting from the injury.
